All joking aside, these are real questions sellers sometimes ask themselves when choosing a Realtor. But the answer of how to choose an agent is not really difficult, especially if you keep in mind that you are placing the sale of your most valuable asset into the hands of this person. Simply answered, YOU and your home deserve a professional, full-time agent, who has the staff, experience and expertise to get your property sold quickly, and at the best possible price.
INTERVIEW / INTERVIEW / INTERVIEW: Before making this important decision, make an appointment with several agents to give a Listing Presentation at your home (See my plan at the Free In-Home Presentation page on this site) to explain what they intend to do to sell your property. This should include a marketing strategy, a CMA (market study of your home's value), but ALSO information on how the agent-client relationship works in Louisiana. All of the education, experience, and web savvy in the world is of no value, if your best interest is not at the core of an agent's business!
